For five days in February, I’ve ministered an audiovisual workshop to 25 kayapó indigenous people, in Novo Progresso, Pará. It was a very diverse group, with people from 12 to 29 years old, all indigenous from the Menkragnoti and Baú Indigenous Lands, in the middle of the Amazon rainforest.
We talked about the basic principles of photography, we did exercises on how to do a video interview and at the end of the course I helped them to create a photographic collective formed only by young kayapós.
Many thanks to the Kabu Institute, which proposed the course, and to the youngs who chose me to teach them about photography and video.
